Wholesale green coffee, direct from Uganda
About us

We source specialty green coffee direct from Uganda and bring it to roasters across North America. Independent and Ugandan-owned. What you cup is what you get — no hidden prices, ever.
Our Purpose
Uganda is now Africa's number-one coffee exporter. Yet few North American roasters have ever cupped it. Most Ugandan coffee leaves the country as raw beans, and other companies further along the chain keep most of the money.
We exist to change that. As a Ugandan-owned company, we bring our coffee straight to roasters in Canada and the US — so more of the value comes home, and more roasters discover what Uganda can do.
We build genuine, long-term relationships — with the farmers we buy from and the roasters we sell to. Those relationships drive our three pillars:
We source specialty Washed Arabica from Uganda's highlands, and Natural Robusta from Greater Central Uganda. Every lot is cup-scored, with the date shown, so you always know how fresh the score is. Cup before you commit.
Our pricing is market-linked and clear. You see the landed price — what the coffee costs once it reaches your door — and we confirm it live. Sample first, always.
We're Ugandan-owned, so the value comes home. And on every order we give 10% of our gross profit to Shule Yako, our education program for children in the coffee communities we source from.
I started Nyaliko so Uganda's coffee — and the value it creates — finally has a home in North America.

Our farmers
Every bag of Nyaliko coffee is picked by hand, one ripe cherry at a time, by farmers across Uganda's highlands and central growing regions. Picking by hand takes longer than stripping a branch, and it costs more. We think the people doing that work should be paid for it.
Every week, Uganda's Ministry of Agriculture publishes the farmgate price — what a farmer is actually paid at the farm, before any milling or export work. We check that report and commit to paying 15–30% more than it says.
| Coffee | Stage it is measured at | The price Uganda publishes | What Nyaliko pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Washed Arabica | Parchment | UGX 15,500–16,000about $4.22–$4.35 per kg | UGX 17,825–20,800about $4.85–$5.66 per kg |
| Natural Robusta | Dried cherry (kiboko) | UGX 5,500–6,500about $1.50–$1.77 per kg | UGX 6,325–8,450about $1.72–$2.30 per kg |
These prices are from the report dated 13 July 2026. The U.S. dollar figures use the exchange rate in that same report (1 USD ≈ 3,677 UGX), so both columns move when the rate moves.
Prices change every week. They move with the world coffee market and with harvests in places like Brazil and Vietnam. Treat this as a snapshot. We check the latest report before every harvest, so we never price off an old number.
These figures are what we commit to paying, measured against the published price. They are not an audited average of what one season actually paid out.
Why above market, and not “Fair Trade certified”: a certificate is one way to prove a premium is paid. We would rather show you the numbers: the published price, what we pay, and the date we checked. That way you can check it yourself instead of trusting a logo.
We support roasters of every size — whether you buy five bags or a full container. We keep it simple, honest, and easy to start.

Our Vision
We're building more than a coffee business. We want a lasting bridge between Ugandan farms and North American roasters. Today we trade green coffee. Over time we want to work more closely with the farmers and washing stations themselves. The goal is simple: a fair, open, traceable path from a Ugandan farm to your roastery, with more of the money staying in Uganda.

Who we are
Nyaliko is independent. We are not part of a big multinational, and that is the point. It means a Ugandan company and its farmers make the decisions, choose the quality, and keep the money. Founded by Ben Serunyigo, with roots in both Uganda and Canada.
Shule Yako
Shule Yako — Swahili for “your school” — is our education program. Funded by 10% of our gross profit, plus optional contributions from roasters, it supports schooling for children in the Ugandan coffee communities we source from.
